«Play is our brain’s favorite way of learning.» – Diane Ackerman.
I recently stumbled across this quote and can’t stop thinking about it. I love how it captures the essence of what I do. As an educator, I love making interactive and entertaining content that teaches children Spanish in engaging ways!
In my recent educational kids video, I teach children names and fun facts about jungle animals in Spanish. We learn about butterflies, jaguars, snakes, and more! It’s a fun video incorporating play and learning to keep children engaged.

Why is it important to incorporate play into learning?
Incorporating play into learning is an exciting way to keep children engaged in learning. When they can play along with their educator, they retain more information and are more likely to remember the vocabulary words they’re learning.
In my video, How to Learn Animal Names in Spanish: Interactive Jungle Tour for Kids, I use vocabulary, repetition, and fun animation to keep children engaged. I also play an interactive game with the kids to encourage their participation.
Children love animals, so incorporating playful activities centered around animals from Spanish-speaking countries not only engages children’s natural fascination with animals but also immerses them in both the language and the culture.
Take it one step further
After you’ve watched the video with your child or students, I encourage you to try out this interactive game.
Here, you can practice vocabulary and pronunciation in another fun and engaging way. Introduce your name or nickname to start!
