How To Say Weather In Spanish: Fun Learning For Children.

The weather is a common experience for people all over the world. It doesn’t matter where you  live or what language you speak—the weather impacts your life.  

When it comes to teaching a child a new language, the weather is a valuable topic because it’s  one that children are already familiar with. They already know what it’s like to be in warm  weather and cold weather—so it’s often easier for them to learn these words that they’re  already using in daily conversations.

Why is it helpful to learn about the weather in Spanish?

The topic of weather already relates to their everyday life, so learning it in a new language is  something that they can easily transfer and apply to their daily lives.  

Weather vocabulary is practical and helpful for children to know because it helps them to have  meaningful conversations in the language they’re learning. Weather terms empower children to  ask questions, describe their surroundings, and make plans.

Comprehensive input is “language input that can be understood by listeners despite them not understanding all the words and structures in it». I apply this by using relevant imagery, adding context, using repetition, and encouraging children to actively participate.
